Float Papa’s Pilar in The Stream - the Hemingway
Inspiration:
Islands in The Stream - the Hemingway novel (though if one drinks too many the sound of Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton singing Bee Gees song of same name could easily start playing in ones head).
The (Hemingway inspired) Daiquiri certainly plays a role in the novel and this “boat drink”, but the flavors and imagery of both Bimini and Cuba represented in Islands in the Stream are further summoned with the addition of the exotic island hibiscus and spicy Falernum and of course the blend of rums – a drink that was made for New Orleans, inspired by the islands and that salty adventuring sea man Papa.........Hemingway.
